Kevin O’Callaghan, an iconic 3D designer, accepted the creative challenge to design and build the stage set for the Twisted Sister band and their hard rock ‘Twisted Christmas’ production on Broadway in only three weeks. Nada Ray’s documentary follows the process of O’Callaghan’s first ideas inspired by the legendary movie ‘Metropolis’ to the completion of the stage and the Twisted Sister concert. Dee Snider, Twisted Sister] lead singer, talks about the plans for the hard-rock musical. Also in appearance: Adria Ingegneri, Joseph Pastor, Jimmy Korpai. Great design and heavy metal music.

Paula Scher, one of the most outstanding graphic designers and principal of Architecture and Design Consultancy, Pentagram, took a challenge to explore a foreign language – Serbian, and a foreign alphabet – Cyrillic, to design an iconic Publikum Calendar. Nada Ray conducted interviews with Paula Scher and asked designers of her team - Julia Hoffmann, Lenny Naar, Emma Goldsmith, Drew Freeman, Jennifer Rittner and Brian Crooks present the calendar pages they worked on - singing, reciting and acting in - Serbian!

At twenty six, Richard Wilde founded the Advertising And Graphic Design department of the School of Visual Arts. Today, forty years later, he is considered to be one of the grand masters of design education; the students in his Visual Literacy class create an astonishing 2,000 images each week. The film features the annual GDAD Spring Show at the Art Directors Club, and interviews with Richard Wilde; it is loaded with students’ cool graphics and original music created in Wilde’s class.
